Step 5 – Go Full Auto: Configure the settings on the datalogger and start auto-watering.

The following menu steps are required to configure your system to start auto irrigation:

  • Set Trigger point to 50%, menu option 6

  • Set Irrigation duration to 60 seconds, menu option 7

  • Set Auto Irrigation on (set flag to 1), using menu option 9

Once your board is in auto irrigation mode, a small, red LED should turn on near the USB connector.  If this light is off, you are not in auto irrigation mode, so make sure the light is always on when you want the board to auto water using soil moisture data.

IMPORTANT! When in auto irrigation mode, the red LED light by the USB connector will be on.
